Kicking Horse Janitorial originated over 20 years ago, however, we generally say established in 2008 as that is when the previous owner took it over.

Unfortunately, there is no clear answer to this question, as every place we clean has different needs. However, we have a comprehensive quoting process and can quote you for free, generally within a day of seeing the space.

+What are the payment options?

Payments are made monthly and can be done by cheque, e-transfer, or direct deposit. We also have the option of a credit card, but since we would have to charge you a small fee, we recommend one of the other options.

Janitorial work relies on a foundation of consistency and reliability. We pride ourselves on being able to provide this to our customers through thick and thin. All of our services are provided through an annual or multi-year agreement that lays out the terms and conditions. This ensures that we are always going to have resources and staff allocated for our clients and that clients can rely on us for reliable and consistent service and locked-in pricing. We offer several services that you can choose from. See the services we offer here. As part of taking on any client, we work with you to develop a detailed scope of work that helps to ensure that everyone knows and is accountable for what is to be done.

+What types of facilities do you typically service?

We specialize in office and commercial cleaning including professional medical clinics, light industrial, and business offices. We also offer residential carpet and upholstery cleaning services, but do not do residential cleaning. For residential cleaning, we recommend reaching out to Mountain Maid.

+Does your company do deep cleans?

Yes, when negotiating the contract we can schedule deep cleans to happen throughout the year, annually, or whenever you choose. The extent of deep cleans will also be established in the contract.

+Do you background check your employees?

All of our employees undergo a multi-stage screening process, including a detailed criminal record check. Our company is also fully insured and bonded.

+Are the same employees going to clean every time?

This depends on the circumstances of your business needs and the availability of our staff regarding their existing schedule. While you might have one regular cleaner for long periods, we always have at least two of our staff trained at each location to ensure consistency and reliability if the primary cleaner cannot complete a scheduled clean.

+Is your company insured?

Yes, we have comprehensive insurance to protect us and our clients. All of our staff are bonded and registered through WCB.

+What kinds of cleaning products and cleaning supplies do you use? Do you use green cleaning products?

We are very conscious of our environmental and social impact on our community and the precious planet, we all share. As part of this, we are constantly testing out new products and tools that help to reduce our negative impact. As an example of this, the cleaning agents we use are Eco-Logo certified (quite rare for disinfectants) and meet some of the highest standards in terms of environmental sustainability. We also use all reusable microfiber cloths, which help to significantly reduce the amount of cleaning product needed. Learn more about our green mission in our blog. We are always trying to improve though and recently have been testing out bamboo and hemp based cloths to see if their ability to clean is comparable to microfiber and cotton cloths that are our mainstay.

+What are your options for floor care?

For basic floor care, we have a variety of commercial rated vacuum cleaners and mops. If required, we can also use industrial auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and carpet cleaning equipment. +How do you clean high-traffic touchpoints?

We take sanitization very seriously. During every scheduled clean our staff will sanitize high-traffic touchpoints such as; telephones, keyboards, computer mouse, light switches, door handles, and payment terminals. This helps to provide an added layer of protection in addition to our general cleaning practices.
